Prizefighter at The Bear
The hugely popular Prizefighter Series continues on Friday the 2nd of October with a third installment of Heavyweights battling it out for a 32K prize on the night. For anyone not familiar with the format, eight fighters box-off against each other over 3 x 3 minute round bouts, so you get 7 fights and one eventual winner who must win three fights on the night. All the action takes place over 2 hours. You can get more info at www.theprizefighterseries.com.
This installment see’s some great domestic fighters in the mix, including British Champ Danny Williams, Audley Harrison and Scott Gammer, among them.
Although we all had a great time going up to the last Prizefighter event at the Excel in May, this time I’m suggesting a venue closer to home. The Bear (North Moreton, see www.bear-at-home.co.uk) have agreed to let us have the back room, and the big screen TV to watch the action on the night. We should be able to organise a bit of a sweep stake and have a good night watching the boxing.
All club members and friends are welcome, the more the merrier. I will be getting there at 7:30pm, boxing commences at 9pm. Should be a lot of fun.

New MMA Class
We have added a new MMA class to the schedule from today. Roman will be holding an MMA Class every Tuesday at 8pm at Didcot Leisure Centre (Main Hall). Although this is our only off-site class, it is still free to all Class Members, or £8 for anyone else. The Hall and Crash Matts there give Roman more space for showing wrestling moves and throws.
Our MMA offering at the club is now Monday 7pm (focusing on Striking), Tuesday 8pm (focusing on Groundwork) Thursday 8pm (MMA Squad, focusing on MMA Fitness).
