Kettlebell and Sambo Seminars:
I’m very pleased to anounce that Vadim Kolganov will be visiting the club to conduct some seminars with us on Saturday 29th January.
Vadim is a Russian Kettlebell Master Instructor. He won a Bronze medal in wrestling at the World Masters Championships in 2005 and was British Sambo Champion in 2006. Vadim has been living and teaching in the UK (Glasgow) for the last 10 years and is very highly respected in the Martial Arts World.
Vadim will be teaching a Kettlebell Class at 12pm on Saturday. This is open (and free of charge) to all club members, although places are limited so please book. He will then run a Sambo Seminar from 1pm – 3pm. This Seminar will cost £15. Again, places are limited so please book in advance.

Rumble VIII Thanks and Planning Permission…
I’m pleased to announce that the final donation we were able to make to The Rifles Care for Casualties appeal from Rumble VIII was £7,012. This brings to £16,173 the total donations from the club this year to this fantastic cause (see careforcasualties.org.uk). Attached is a picture of me handing the cheque over to Lt Col. Simon Hill of The Rifles. Thanks so much for all the support given to the club and the Rumbles this year to help us achieve this.
I’m also pleased to announce we have received planning permission to start our proposed 2,000 sq ft extension planned for the new year, so many more facities and classes coming in 2011! Thanks again for all support and interest shown in the club, it really is very much appreciated.
Looking forward to a busy 2011!
