Two great new classes

Two great new classes start this week. Trim Trail with Terry at 7pm Thursday and Kettlercise with Karen on Friday at 6pm.

Trim Trail is a two mile run through some beautiful countryside around the club, but with about 10 stop off points for various exercises. Kettlercise is a Kettle Bell based class. Both classes are suitable for all fitness levels.

We are now running 25 classes a week with great variety and fantastic instructors, see Class Timetable on the website for more details.

Noble Art…

The Club will be holding an exhibition as part of the Artweeks event in Oxfordshire from 5th – 27th May. Club member and local artist Grant Waters will be exhibiting numerous oil paintings he has done of the club, the boxers, shows and events over the past year. Kettlebell Seminar…

Vadim Kolganov is back with us next Saturday (28th April) to give another Kettleball Seminar. As last time, cost is £10 and places are limited to 10 people. The seminar will run from 12pm – 2pm. Julius and Terry Fighting…

Our own Julius Francis and Terry Russell are in action this weekend. Julius boxes Big Joe Katz on a show at the Cornet Theatre in London on Friday 27th and Terry fights Lee Dalglish on a Queensbury Boxing show in Crawley on Saturday 28th. Outdoor Bootcamp comes to SMBC…

We are adding two new classes to the timetable from this week. Outdoor Bootcamps will be run at 7:00pm Wednesday with Roman and 9:30am Thursday with Will (this will replace 9:30am Spin). Bootcamps will be run in the grass area next to the Fitness Club and will involve Tyres, Medicine Balls, Ladders, Kettlebells, Monkey Bars, The Growler, Bodyweight Exercises and all manner of other activities. Classes are always outside, come rain or shine. A great, fun way to get that beach body ready for the hols!

Kettlebell and Sambo Workshops

Vadim Kolganov is back with us to give two seminars on Saturday 24th March. There will be a Kettlebell Workshop 12pm – 1:30pm and a Sambo Seminar 2:30pm – 4:30pm. It is £10 to attend either class, and a maximum of 10 people on each. Anyone who doesn’t remember Vadim from his last visit, he is a Russian Master of Sport and a highly respected instructor, plenty of stuff about him on You Tube.

Let me know want to book on Kettlebells or Sambo.

The Boxing Club is taking part in Oxfordshire’s largest art festival!
Club member and local artist Grant Waters has spent a year chronicling the life of the club, from training sessions to boxing nights and has produced some amazing paintings of characters and events.
