Having taken up boxing later in my sporting journey, I quickly found myself deep within the roots of England Boxing both competitively and in coaching.Being ambitious,I don’t like to wait around, I represented the Home Counties squad on my first bout as an amateur. Taking the W and cementing my love for the sport.I actually switched to boxing as I thought it would be easier on the body having done MMA for many years (boy was I wrong!) when it comes to the physicality of boxing and the preparation to fight nothing beats it in my opinion. After I reluctantly stopped competing at the grand age of 40, I focused purely on coaching and helping others achieve their goals. My main focus is boxing and the science behind it. I have a vast knowledge in strength and conditioning for combat sports, body mechanics and the art of coaching the individual. I am confident in switching between various styles but try to get amateur technicalities at the base of all my teaching. I also teach beginners right through to elite and can tailor sessions to suit.Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have obtained qualifications such as:Level 3 Sports psychology diplomaSports nutritionReps Personal trainer level 3Strength and conditioning level 2BTEC Diploma in Soft tissue massageLevel 3 award in physiotherapy CPDAnd within England Amateur Boxing am a Level II Coach with first aid, safeguarding and fully DBS checked.
