I began training at the club fourteen years ago and began working here twelve years ago, working through my REPS Qualifications to Personal Trainer Level 3.
I have always had a great interest in Boxing and Fitness. I competed successfully as an amateur and moved onto boxing Semi-Pro in the Queensbury Boxing League, with my bouts appearing several times on Eurosport. I won their Southern Area Light-Middleweight Title and National Super-Middleweight Title before turning Professional.
I run Classes at the Club and 1-2-1 Training sessions with clients of all backgrounds. As well as Boxing I have a keen interest in weight training and the benefits it can bring, and in optimising your diet. As a boxer I tended to put on weight and struggle to bring it down to the weigh-in limit for the fight. This led me to look extensively into body composition and optimum nutrition for strength/weight ratio performance and I bring this knowledge and experience to my clients, both in the gym and online.
I like to think I’m friendly and approachable and able to try and weigh up a client’s targets, time and commitment to best prescribe a diet and exercise regime that will achieve the desired results.
